Guitars – Steel String
The Phoenix Guitar Company specializes in two steel string guitar models: the Grand Concert, and the OM. Please click here to view our pricing guide.
The Grand Concert:
Grand Concert has a lower bout of 16″, and a scale length of 25.4″. It is what we believe to be one of the premier steel string guitars available anywhere in the world. Its balance and range is beyond most similar guitars, due to the bracing techniques used. The bass response is absolutely unequaled, and the treble is crisp and strong. We don’t believe there is a better guitar anywhere for fingerpicking.
Model Shown: Grand Concert Cutaway.
- Sides & Back: Brazilian Rosewood
- Top: Englemann Spruce
- Body Binding: Brazilian Rosewood
- Neck Binding: Flame Maple

The OM:
The OM has a smaller body than the Grand Concert (lower bout of 15″, and a scale length of 24.9 or 25.4″), which makes it a more comfortable gutiar for many people to play. It will typically have less bass and more treble than a Grand Concert, but our bracing makes it a very well balanced guitar with a brilliant tone.
Model Shown: OM.
- Sides & Back: Flamed Myrtle
- Top: Englemann Spruce
- Body Binding: Indian Rosewood
- Neck Binding: Flame Maple
- Fingerboard & Bridge: Macassar Ebony w/Extra Custom Inlay

The Mini Jumbo:
Our Mini Jumbo has the basic body dimensions of an OM, except with a 1/2 inch deeper body.
Its typical scale length is 25.4″, but can be customized for the user. The deeper body brings out a
rich bass in a small body, very comfortable guitar.
